Capsule Wardrobe: From A Mom Who Wants To Be Comfy But A Little Trendy

A Capsule Wardrobe From A Mom Who Wants To Be Comfy But A Little Trendy

I have seen countless capsule wardrobes that I would love to have and everything is very put together. There are blazers and trousers and shoes that all look amazing, but that I would never wear (because where would I wear all of those things). I am a mom of two toddlers who works in healthcare, in scrubs, wants to be comfy at home to play with my kids, and sometimes goes out on the weekends. Usually “going out” involves going over to our friends around 5:00 with the kids, going on a casual date with Dan, or getting dinner and drinks with girlfriends.

So here is my capsule wardrobe: comfortable, casual, attainable, and stuff you will actually wear time and time again for everyday life.

Bras

Nobody needs underwire in their life anymore. And this is my favorite budget friendly sports bra and one that I am happy to splurge on.

Tank Tops

I like these workout tops better than any of my Lululemon tanks. And these basic tanks are cheap and worn multiple times a week.

Shirts

I am a “jeans and a tee” girl through and through. Here are a few of my favorite tees that I wear with jeans, shorts, or leggings. Button downs are great when you want something a little dressier than a tshirt. And this sweatshirt is my favorite for any season.

Pants and shorts

These are pretty much the only jeans and shorts I reach for in my closet all year long. And everybody needs to invest in a few great pair of leggings.

Dresses

The most comfortable tshirt dress you can dress up or down.

work clothes

I have talked about these pants for years and now most of my coworkers have them. It’s basically a uniform at this point. And obviously for scrubs, FIGS is the only way to go.

Shoes

I rotate between running shoes, white sneaks and sandals in the spring/summer.
